Current Research

Dr. Rodrigo Braga joined the Department of Neurology as an Assistant Professor on August 1, 2020. Dr. Braga will study large-scale networks within association zones of the human brain that greatly expanded in recent evolution. Studying their functional properties can help understand human cognitive faculties, such as our ability to think about the future and use language and theory-of-mind for effective communication. The Braga Lab will use a combination of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and intracranial recordings (iEEG/ECOG) to characterize the dynamic activity of these networks within individuals with precision and at high-resolution.
Please see Dr. Braga’s laboratory website for additional information on research projects and available positions.
